Per ABC 7, Chicago fire authorities reported that a collision involving a CTA bus on Tuesday resulted in eleven individuals being transported to different hospitals. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning near 76th Street and South Lafayette Avenue in the West Chatham neighborhood. The CFD stated that the 11 individuals sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. They specified that ten of the patients were from the bus. The CFD reported that three individuals were in fair condition, and eight were in good condition.
The emergency vehicles headed to OSF Little Company of Mary Medical Center, University of Chicago Medical Center, St. Bernard Hospital, and Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center. Footage from the scene depicted a No. 75 bus with minor damage to its front. A beige sedan sustained significant front-end damage. It wasn’t immediately evident what caused the accident or whether any citations would be given.
