After three long years, the wait is now over as Tyler, the Creator released his new album known as Chromakopia. The last album Tyler, The Creator dropped was “CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST” which merged a lot of sounds from Tyler as well as DJ Drama. This album, however, was written, produced, and recorded by Tyler, and his audience is in for a treat.
There are many elements of Tyler that we get to explore in his new project Chromakopia. Tyler taps into shaping his overall persona and dissecting the many aspects that go along with that. Songs like “Noid,” “I Killed You,” and “Hey Jane” showcases his true traits while experiencing the outside world.
The hip-hop and jazz fusion mixed with dialogue throughout the album is a clear cut example of Tyler’s overall versatility. There aren’t many artist who can merge many styles and themes into one album that reaches the ears of millions. With a discography that includes many colors and vibes, it is hard to shy away from all that Chromakopia has to offer.
There are many hidden gems that are featured on Tyler, the Creator’s new album. Artist like Teezo Touchdown, Childish Gambino, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Schoolboy Q, and Doechii are heard throughout the album. Before the album was released, Tyler stated on Twitter that he was not rocking with features. Seeing some of the hottest artist out on his project has a few people confused.
Tyler has truly outdone himself with this project. Before the album dropped, Tyler already has sold out many of his tour dates, and many are already looking for what he’s doing next. It’s good to see an artist like Tyler, the Creator dropping art such as Chromakopia in a time like now.
