Former NBA player Dwight Howard reveals he’s willing to fight it out with Shaq and claims Shaq is behind the scenes blocking him from getting opportunities.
Howard recently expressed his frustration with Shaq, raising the question of whether a physical confrontation might be the only way to resolve their longstanding feud.
During an interview on “The GAUDs Show” with Ray Daniels, Howard addressed his relationship with the Hall of Famer for the second time in just five days. He emphasized that he never aimed to copy him. “What gets to me the most is that he always believes I’m trying to be like him or channel his style,” Howard said. “If that were the case, wouldn’t you take it as a compliment, a recognition of your greatness both as a player and as a person?”
“Listen, I never disrespected you, Shaq. Yet, it seems you always find something negative to say, and there are moments I reach my limit and think, ‘Yo, Shaq, you just need to quit.’” In a revealing moment, Howard recalled his experience on the set of Dancing with the Stars, where he attempted to reach out to Shaquille through a mutual. “I asked, ‘Could you let Shaq know I’d really like to have a chat? Every interaction I see or hear from him comes with some level of disrespect.’
Howard expressed that he just didn’t understand the problem that Shaq had against him especially since he was one of the people that he looked up to. He even mentioned that they should team up to help give back.
Howard also mentioned how he has tried to be the bigger person but Shaq continues to take shots at him and blocks opportunities for him from behind the scenes.
