Atlanta police have given an update on the tragic incident that has left social media puzzled about what really happened to Young Scooter.
It is true that Young Scooter unfortunately passed away on his birthday, but it was not due to the police.
According to TMZ, Atlanta Police Department’s Lt. Andrew Smith said the rapper was fleeing on foot from police and severely injured his leg while jumping over fences, which resulted in his death.
Scooter is assumed to be one of two men officers discovered fleeing out the back of a house while they responded to a disturbance call. Smith stressed that no shots were fired during the incident.

“Just to be very clear, the injury that was sustained was not via the officers on scene. It was when the male was fleeing,” he said.
