50 CENT’S G-UNITY FOUNDATION WILL SPONSOR BIZCAMP FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENUERS

POSITIVITY DOR THE YOUTH

50 Cent recently used his Instagram to express his concerns about the lack of encouragement for positivity online. He highlighted his initiatives in Shreveport and Los Angeles, particularly his sponsorship of the Inner City Entrepreneur Institute’s BizCamp, which aims to support aspiring young entrepreneurs. The 25th Annual James K. Elrod BizCamp began on June 2 and will continue until June 13 at the Northwestern State University (NSU) School of Nursing campus in Shreveport.

Each summer, BizCamp provides entrepreneurial education and life skills training, with a focus on at-risk youth. Collaborating with Caddo Parish Schools, the camp offers inner-city middle and high school students an opportunity to learn about becoming business leaders and effective employees. Participants gain skills in generating business ideas, financial literacy, and creating business plans, which they then present in a competition to local community members and business professionals.

As part of their experience, each student receives a small investment to kickstart their business by purchasing products from a warehouse for resale in a competitive setting. This competition is scheduled for June 12 at Mall St. Vincent, where BizCamp students will showcase their products, interact with the public, and demonstrate their newly acquired marketing skills. The program will conclude on June 13 with a graduation ceremony in the NSU School of Nursing auditorium.
