Angel Reese is making sneaker history.
The Chicago Sky star just revealed her first-ever signature sneaker with Reebok — the Angel Reese 1 — and the debut colorway is called “Diamond Dust.” It’s icy, iridescent, and unapologetically bold. Just like her.
This release makes Angel only the fourth active WNBA player with a signature shoe and the second woman ever to get one from Reebok, following in the footsteps of legends like Shaq and AI (Sneaker News).
THE LOOK
The AR 1 “Diamond Dust” is slick — with layered mesh and synthetic textures giving it a shiny, gemstone-like vibe. Hints of pink and purple shine through the mostly white base, and the design feels both athletic and fashion-forward. This is clearly a sneaker built for the court and the culture.
WHAT ANGEL SAID
Angel kept it real on Twitter/X when she dropped the first look:
“Just a kid from Baltimore, turning dreams into reality and hoping I can inspire young women and men everywhere to do the same.”
She also added:
“The most brilliant diamonds take pressure, polish, and time. Reebok is back — and the diamonds are shining brighter than ever.”
That “pressure makes diamonds” energy is all over this rollout. Angel’s been under the spotlight since college, and now she’s turning that pressure into legacy.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Reebok has been pushing hard to get back in the basketball game, and Angel is clearly a major piece of that puzzle. Last year, she signed a big endorsement deal with the brand after Reebok named Shaquille O’Neal its President of Basketball and Allen Iverson its VP (SI.com).
Between her influence on and off the court — from dominating in the W to sitting front row at fashion shows — Angel Reese is becoming a true crossover star. And this sneaker just puts that on full display.
WHAT’S NEXT
There’s no release date just yet, but the AR 1 is expected to drop later this year, possibly around the WNBA All-Star Game. No word yet on price, either — but fans are already hype, and Reebok knows it has a hit on its hands.
This isn’t just a win for Angel — it’s a big moment for women’s sports, sneaker culture, and anyone chasing their dreams under pressure.
