Six months ago Patrick Houston Jr., son of Memphis rapper Project Pat, was shot and killed on January 10, 2025, near Charjean Park in Memphis, Tennessee.
On June 27, 2025, a warrant for 19-year-old Talia Jones was issued after the Memphis Police Department linked her to the killing. The U.S. Marshals reported Jones put up a fight after she was found on Tuesday, July 15th in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jones is being charged with facilitation of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Patrick Houston, Jr. According to state law, facilitation of first-degree murder means Jones knowingly helped someone commit murder. The person responsible for pulling the trigger has yet to be found.
Jones is currently being held in Minnesota while awaiting extradition to Tennessee.
