Claressa Shields and Laila Ali are stirring up the boxing world with talk of a potential fantasy matchup. Shields, an undefeated three-division undisputed champ, claims she would’ve beaten Ali in her prime, calling herself the true GWOAT.
Ali, who retired undefeated in 2007 with 21 knockouts, hasn’t ruled out a comeback—if the payday is big enough. She’s hinted at needing $15–20 million to step back in the ring.
After hearing the response from Laila herself, Claressa went on to grant her those wishes and secured not only $15 million but she also has venues set up where they can fight. Claressa clearly stated that the ball is now in Laila’s court.
