The schools mentioned regarding these alleged infractions are Eastern Michigan, Temple, Arizona State, New Orleans, North Carolina A&T, and Mississippi Valley. These schools are not under investigation nor facing penalties.

The NCAA’s integrity monitoring system and its network of sources identified suspicious betting activities, text messages, and direct messages on social media related to regular-season games.

The potential violations discovered include sharing inside information with third parties for betting purposes, manipulating scoring or game outcomes, and betting on or against their own teams.

The NCAA Committee has resolved three cases involving men’s basketball student-athletes from Fresno State and San Jose State for violating NCAA rules against sports betting. An enforcement investigation concluded that Mykell Robinson, Steven Vasquez, and Jalen Weaver engaged in game manipulation related to sports betting. As a result, they are permanently ineligible to participate in NCAA athletics.

The NCAA will not publicly disclose the athletes’ names until the investigation is complete. None of the student-athletes are currently enrolled at their previous schools.

The NCAA prohibits student-athletes from betting on any amateur, collegiate, or professional sports that the NCAA sponsors championships. That includes their own games.
