A tense encounter between Chicago police and a driver ended with the vehicle fleeing onto a sidewalk after officers attempted to break the car’s window when the driver refused to exit.
Video circulating on social media shows officers surrounding the vehicle and trying to gain access after the driver allegedly ignored repeated commands to exit the car. In response, the driver sped onto the sidewalk to escape, putting pedestrians and nearby traffic at risk.
