Authorities in Central City, Kentucky, United States are continuing to investigate a disturbing animal cruelty case after police arrested Allen Lynne Osborne following allegations that he was involved in sexual activity with a dead deer along a roadside, according to Fox News. The investigation began after a passing motorist dialed 911 to report suspicious and disturbing behavior late in the evening. Officials say the caller’s quick action helped law enforcement locate the suspect within minutes.
When officers arrived at the scene, they reported finding Osborne near a deceased deer carcass. Police said he was allegedly covered in deer fur and blood and was found with his pants lowered. Officers immediately detained him without incident and transported him to the Muhlenberg County Detention Center while detectives began gathering physical and forensic evidence.
Law enforcement officials confirmed Osborne was charged with sexual crimes involving animals, a felony offense under Kentucky law. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether additional charges will be filed, but they said the case will be reviewed carefully once forensic testing and witness statements are completed. Authorities also have not released information about possible motives or whether drugs, mental health issues, or other factors may have played a role in the incident.
Officials praised the driver who called 911, saying the tip was critical in helping police respond quickly. He was booked into the Muhlenberg County Detention Center and charged with sexual crimes against animals.
