A store owner is asking for help identifying the parents of several young girls after surveillance footage allegedly showed one of them going behind the counter and taking cake from a refrigerator inside a bundt cake shop located in a shopping center along Belair Road in Baltimore.
In a Facebook post that has since gained attention online, Mike Hamlin shared security camera images showing a group of girls inside the shop near the front counter. One of the girls was highlighted in the footage, drawing attention to her movements near restricted areas of the store.
Surveillance video shows one of the girls walking behind the counter while an employee was busy ringing up another customer. While the worker’s attention was focused on the checkout process, the girl allegedly opened a refrigerator behind the counter and removed cake from inside.
The remaining girls appeared to stay near the front area of the store while the employee continued assisting the paying customer, seemingly unaware of what was happening behind the counter at the time.
