BULLS RELEASE JADEN IVEY AFTER HE CALLS OUT NBA FOR CELEBRATING PRIDE MONTH

According to ESPN’s Sham Charania, the Bulls have waived Jaden Ivey on Monday after he made homophobic comments on social media. The Chicago Bulls released a statement calling Ivey’s release “conduct detrimental to the team”.

Ivey went live on Instagram to speak about his religious beliefs, as well as issues related to gay rights and abortion. During the stream, he referenced the NBA’s recognition of Pride Month, saying, “They proclaim Pride Month in the NBA. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it.”

The Chicago Bulls traded for Jaden Ivey at the deadline, hoping to tap into the promise he showed as a top-five pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. However, after appearing in only four games, Ivey was sidelined due to knee soreness that had lingered since the start of the season.

Ivey was slated to become a restricted free agent this summer, but after some strange rants on social media over the weekend his NBA future is now in jeopardy.
