Chicago paying homage to Chicago.
Fresh off the momentum of his WOLF mixtape, Fat Money has released a new freestyle over the instrumental from Twista’s classic record “Adrenaline Rush.”

The South Suburban rapper, who represents 147, continues to build on the buzz surrounding his return to music following his release from federal prison. Since coming home, Fat Money has been consistently dropping new music and reminding fans why many still consider him one of the hottest rappers coming out of the city.
This latest release finds him stepping onto one of Chicago hip-hop’s most iconic beats.
“@twistagmg I always wanted to do this big bro 😆🐺”
For Chicago rap fans, the tribute carries extra weight.
Originally released in 1997, “Adrenaline Rush” helped solidify Twista as one of the most unique voices in hip-hop. The title track appeared on Twista’s sophomore album Adrenaline Rush and showcased the rapid-fire delivery that would eventually make him one of the most recognizable rappers to ever come out of Chicago.
The original production was handled by legendary Chicago producer The Legendary Traxster, whose work helped define the sound of Chicago street rap throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
Rather than trying to reinvent the record, Fat Money uses the freestyle as an opportunity to salute one of the city’s pioneers while putting his own stamp on a beat that many Chicago artists grew up listening to.
The release also arrives as Fat Money continues to capitalize on the momentum of his recent mixtape WOLF, a project that generated conversation throughout the city and further fueled anticipation for what’s next from the rapper.
From one generation of Chicago rap to another, the freestyle serves as a reminder of the city’s rich hip-hop lineage and the artists carrying that legacy forward.
