According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, James’ agent, Rich Paul, has been serving as the middleman by allowing executives to send personalized voice notes outlining why their franchise would be the best fit for the four-time NBA champion.

Some teams have had owners, presidents, or general managers record messages directly for James. Meanwhile, former NBA executive Bob Myers publicly made a case for the Philadelphia 76ers during an appearance on Paul and Max Kellerman’s “Game Over” podcast, highlighting what the organization could offer the veteran superstar.

It’s unknown whether the Cleveland Cavaliers or Miami Heat have taken part in the voice-note recruiting effort, as James is already well acquainted with both franchises after winning championships with each during previous stops in his career.

Sources say James continues to evaluate every opportunity carefully and has not set a deadline for making his decision. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer is reportedly taking his time as he weighs his next move in free agency.
