CHICAGO FAMILY PUSHES FOR ANSWERS AFTER 28-YEAR-OLD FOUND DEAD IN MICHIGAN WOODS

The family of 28-year-old Jerard “Jay” Jackson of Chicago is demanding answers after his death following a weekend trip to Michigan’s Electric Forest music festival, according to Rolling Stone.

Jackson traveled to the festival with a group of friends, but what was supposed to be a weekend getaway ended with him being found dead in the woods — leaving his loved ones questioning the circumstances surrounding his final hours.

Authorities have reportedly ruled Jackson’s death a suicide, but his family says they are not convinced and are calling for a deeper investigation. They say there are unanswered questions about what happened before Jackson disappeared.

According to his family, Jackson had no known history of mental health struggles and had never shown signs that he was a danger to himself. They also point out that he was the only Black man in the group he traveled with, adding another layer of concern as they seek clarity about what occurred.

The family says that on the morning of June 29th, Jackson contacted police at the campsite because he felt unsafe and attempted to report an incident involving someone he considered a friend.

Hours later, Jackson disappeared. His family says he left behind his phone and personal belongings, raising questions about why he would leave everything behind if he intended to harm himself.

They also allege that the people he traveled with returned to Illinois without him, while Jackson remained missing.

The following day, Jackson was found dead in a wooded area.
