After completing his college football career on Saturday night in the Alamo Bowl, Travis Hunter is now set to enter the NFL draft. He will reportedly do so with representation from a prominent sports agency.
According to Front Office Sports, Hunter is signing with Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports. The agency will handle his on-field representation and playing contracts.
Young Money’s successful recruitment of Hunter came despite competition from major agencies like WME, CAA, Klutch Sports Group, and Athletes First, sources said.
Hints of Hunter’s decision emerged in recent weeks. During his Heisman acceptance speech, Hunter gave a shoutout to Lil Wayne. After the ceremony, Young Money APAA Sports CEO Adie von Gontard posted photos with Hunter and the Heisman Trophy on Instagram. Von Gontard was also spotted on the Colorado sideline before the Alamo Bowl, further fueling speculation.
He is now the highest-profile athlete represented by Young Money.
