Chandler Parsons has yet again made NBA fans scratch their heads by saying Kevin Durant is above Kobe on his Top 3 NBA Players of all time.

It’s well-known that Kobe Bryant is considered one of the greatest players of all time by many fans. However, his position in the NBA’s all-time player rankings has always been a topic of debate. Typically, these rankings begin with Michael Jordan, followed by LeBron James, which leaves room for one more legendary player to enter the top tier.
Parsons recently challenged the prevailing view, suggesting that basketball fans may be elevating “Bean’s” status out of respect for his “Mamba Mentality” and demeanor. He argued that “Bean’s” true position in the all-time rankings is not only below LeBron James but also below Kevin Durant.

In a recent episode of the “Run It Back” show, Chandler Parsons made a bold assessment of Kobe Bryant’s legacy. While he recognized Bryant’s achievements, including winning championships both as the second star and later as the team’s leading player, Parsons noted that legends like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, who have received more MVP awards than Kobe, may rank higher than him in all-time standings based on their accolades.
“I love Kobe. God rest his soul, but he’s not top three (player of all-time) in most people’s eyes. I don’t even understand how this is an argument with him and LeBron,” Parsons said. “I think it’s Shaq. But a lot of guys will go even older than him. If you look at rankings across the world, I don’t think Kobe is in most people’s top 3. Like, put him over LeBron, like… I would rank Kevin Durant over Kobe… There’s older people that would be in that conversation. Magic and Larry and those guys, so it’s a generational argument.”
