Atlanta rapper, Young Scooter was reportedly shot and killed in Atlanta, on Friday, his 39th birthday. The shooting was reported just blocks away from State Farm Area where the NCAA tournament is being played.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported one person was shot. Allegedly Young Scooter, whose real name is Kenneth Edward Bailey, was involved in a shootout with Atlanta police around 6:45 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Atlanta rapper was one of the first artist to sign to Future’s Freebandz label back in 2012. In 2018, Young Scooter made his Billboard Hot 100 debut with his guest verse on Future and Juice WRLD ’s 2018 track “ Jet Lag.”
The Atlanta Police Department has not identified the victim.
