50 CENT SAYS KANYE WEST & NICKI MINAJ ARE WHY HE STAYS AWAY FROM POLITICS

While attending the West Hollywood premiere of his film Moses the Black, 50 Cent explained why he makes it a point to stay away from public conversations about religion and politics.

According to the rapper and producer, those topics are guaranteed to spark backlash no matter what side someone takes. “No matter what you think, someone passionately disagrees with you,” he said, calling religion and politics two areas artists are often warned to avoid.

To make his point, 50 referenced Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, noting how their public statements tied to faith or political views have frequently led to controversy and distracted from their creative work. He framed the comments as cautionary rather than critical, emphasizing how easily public opinion can shift.

Even though Moses the Black includes religious themes, 50 stressed that he wants the film viewed as entertainment — not a political or religious statement. For him, staying neutral helps keep the focus on his work, not debate.
