MAN FATALLY SHOT, 3 CHILDREN ESCAPE UNHARMED AFTER CAR CRASHES INTO LITTLE VILLAGE T-MOBILE

Early this morning, 3 children (3, 6, and 8 years old) and Christian Ruiz (30 years old) were stopped at a red light when a car approached theirs and 3 people inside the car opened fire.

Ruiz was struck in the chest and attempted to flee but crashed his vehicle into a T-Mobile store at 2400 W. Cermak Road, according to officials.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead, police said. The children inside the car were uninjured.

Police said no one was in custody.
