An NYPD officer has been suspended after responding to a fight involving group of girls on Staten Island.

The cops were on patrol in the area when an after-school fight broke out at the corner of Port Richmond Avenue and Van Riper Street near Edwin Markham Middle School at around 2:45 p.m., police said. A 14-year-old girl was arrested and a 12-year-old girl was given a juvenile report in connection to the incident, police said.

The two girls are sisters and allegedly attacked a 14-year-old girl at the scene, according to the Staten Island Advance. The youngest one allegedly punched an officer in the face and both resisted arrest, according to the report.

One of the responding officers repeatedly punched a girl in the head while another officer tried to grab her as a mob intervened, as seen in the 8 second clip. Meanwhile, the girl fought back as she was pushed around by the cops and bystanders.

The officer has suspended for 30 days and the incident is under investigation by the Internal Affairs Bureau.
