COOLASSICE x NICC STACKZ TALK PRODUCER/ARTIST PARTNERSHIP AND WHY THEY’RE NEXT UP

The partnership between an artist and producer is a key component to making dope music. Often-times an artist will choose multiple producers to work with, which can either result in one cohesive masterpiece or a wide range of good songs with no direction for the completed project. There is something so special when an artist and producer lock in and create a full album or EP. When that happens, we not only see the chemistry between the two, but we also see the end result of two creatives aligning to tell a full story through beats and rhymes. For duo Nicc Stackz and Coolassice the alignment and chemistry were undeniable. After losing his best friend, Stackz was uninspired to make music, pushing himself back into the mix he met producer Coolassice, a producer from New Orleans with roots in the music industry. One would call it divine timing as the producer reminded Stackz of his late friend. With similar musical tastes the two created a body of work (Traplete) that blends Chicago storytelling and southern musical influence. “Traplete”, an album dedicated to the hustler and the person who is never afraid to step up when life tests your endurance
