POLICE RESPOND TO TWO BANK ROBBERIES MINUTES APART IN CHICAGO NORTHWEST SUBURBS

Police officials respond to an attempted bank robbery and a bank robbery in the northwest suburbs an hour apart. Officials believe the robberies are linked to one armed suspect who is now wanted.

The armed robbery took place at a U.S Bank located in Hanover Park, IL on West Irving Park and Longmeadow Ln around 12:30 pm. Shortly after, an attempted robbery happened at another U.S. Bank location in Schaumburg, IL on West Meacham Rd and Schaumburg Rd around 12:55 pm

The armed male offender appears to be in his 20s and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, a blue durag, blue gloves, black sweatpants, and a black facial covering, according to police officials. The suspect fled the scene in a damaged gray Nissan Altima. The car has a possible skeleton decal on the driver’s side and a broken side mirror.

No arrests have been made as the suspect is still at large. Police officials are still proceeding to investigate.
