Meet Little Miss London, a five year old Texas barrel racer taking horse racing by storm.
She is a force to be reckoned with and competes in her horse, Monkey. The pair had an impressive run at Jacksonvilles’s recent Black Rodeo USA.
Barrel racing is a rodeo event in which a horse and rider attempt to run a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time. In collegiate and professional ranks, it is usually a women’s event, though both sexes compete at amateur and youth levels.
Barrel racing is an intense sport where the winner is determined by just thousandths of a second. No matter how talented the horse is, and how skilled the rider is, just one minor error can be the deciding factor whether they leave an event with prize money or not.
Little Miss London is doing amazing things at only 5-years-old. I can’t wait to see where the rest of her career takes her. Most people go into adulthood not knowing what they want to do in life, so it’s amazing to see a queen so young, following her dreams. Go Miss London and go Monkey!
