Charlamagne has issued a cease and desist to Donald Trump for featuring him in a political ad with an out-of-context clip.
Trump recently released an ad featuring Charlamage and DJ Envy speaking negatively about Kamala Harris. In the ad, the two are seemingly saying they’re against Kamala using tax-paying dollars to fund sex-changes for prisoners.
“That ad they were running during the football games this weekend claiming the vice president supports funding gender transition surgeries for all prison inmates and migrants in the U.S., that was nuts,” Charlamagne said, according to Vibe. “I don’t know if it was the backdrop of football, but when you hear the narrator say Kamala supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners, that one line I was like, ‘Hell no, I don’t want my taxpayer dollars going to that.”
At the time, he was explaining how, when he first saw the ad, he could see how people could be against that specific policy. It was Trump’s team who took the clip out of context and made it seem as though Charlagmage was on their side.
Charlamagne is asking for Trump to remove his portion of the ad immediately.
“Cease and desist been sent,” he said about the disgraceful ad.”
