LiAngelo Ball showcased his track “Tweaker” following the KIA Skills Challenge during State Farm All-Star Saturday Night at Chase Center in San Francisco. Ball, the middle sibling of Lonzo and LaMelo, never achieved the same level of success as his brothers, who are both active NBA guards. After being suspended for shoplifting in China in 2017, LiAngelo decided to forgo collegiate basketball.
He played in Lithuania before joining the Junior Basketball Association, a league his father established that lasted only for one season. Then, he spent two seasons with the Greensboro Swarm, the G-League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets. Recently, he played for the Astros de Jalisco, a professional team based in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Last month, LiAngelo, also known as Gelo in his performance career, released “Tweaker,” which is his debut single. This track received airtime during All-Star Weekend and secured him a $13 million contract with Def Jam Recordings. He has since previewed two additional songs.
