Three individuals have been detained following a robbery and shooting in Chicago that led to a pursuit in the south suburbs on Monday afternoon, according to police reports.
According to the Chicago police, the events began at 1:45 p.m. in the Humboldt Park area of the city.
Two males confronted a delivery driver in the 800-block of North Spaulding Avenue, taking items from him before escaping in a stolen Infiniti, police reported.
The driver of the Infiniti then traveled to East 74th Street and South St. Lawrence Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood.
At least one member of the group drew a firearm and discharged it into a nearby residence, although no injuries were reported, police stated.
The driver of the Infiniti left the scene prior to being stopped by Illinois State Police in the 0-100 block of Central Avenue in Matteson.
Three suspects have been taken into custody, with charges forthcoming.
