At least one person was shot outside Chicago O’Hare International Airport early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police responded to reports of an altercation between several individuals outside Terminal 2 on the street, according to a police statement.
“During the altercation, shots were fired and a 25-year-old male victim sustained two gun shot wounds to the lower body,” – police.

The victim was immediately taken to Lutheran General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The investigation is still happening. Police said they’re talking to a potential suspect in the shooting but didn’t share any details about what might have led to it or if the people involved knew each other.
