AMERICAN AIRLINES PLANE CATCHES FIRE AT DENVER AIRPORT

Passengers onboard flight 1006 stood on the wing of the aircraft stationed at Terminal C as emergency services doused the plane in water.

Airport officials reported that an aircraft, which had been diverted to Denver due to an unspecified issue, was at gate C38 when it experienced a major fire, producing visible smoke. Passengers were evacuated using emergency slides onto the wing of the plane as first responders rushed to the scene.

Witnesses captured footage of the incident, showing thick smoke billowing from the aircraft while passengers scrambled to safety.

The fire was quickly extinguished, no injuries had been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
