One man was killed and a woman was critically injured in a car crash on Chicago’s West Lawn neighborhood Sunday night.
Chicago Critter posted a video last night showing a deadly crash in the West Lawn neighborhood near 71st and Pulaski, which caused a full road closure. Around 8:35 p.m., two sedans traveling northbound on Pulaski collided as one attempted to merge lanes. The black sedan struck the rear driver’s side of the silver sedan, causing the driver of the black vehicle to lose control and crash into a median light post.
Both occupants of the black sedan—a 22-year-old man and a woman—were ejected from the vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman suffered a serious leg injury and was transported in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
The occupants of the silver sedan were unharmed.
CPD has not confirmed if racing was a factor. Wentworth Area detectives are currently investigating.
