MEEK MILL DENIES CLAIMS HE WAS HELD FOR RANSOM BY L.A. CRIPS

Meek Mill is setting the record straight after wild allegations surfaced claiming he was once kidnapped by L.A. gang members. In a recent interview, music industry figure Luce Cannon claimed that Meek was abducted a few years ago by the Crips for allegedly being “reckless” on Twitter. According to Cannon, Rick Ross had to step in and pay a $50,000 ransom to secure Meek’s release.

But Meek isn’t having any of it. The Philly rapper swiftly responded to the claims via Twitter, dismissing the story as fabricated and denying any association with Luce Cannon. “I never heard of this guy,” Meek wrote. “I ain’t negotiating with no fake thugs. I’m protecting my freedom and legacy!” He also added that such rumors could incite unnecessary violence, saying, “If you instigate a war from a fake story, you gotta be held accountable.”

Meek further emphasized his genuine respect for the West Coast and the artists he’s collaborated with. He mentioned maintaining solid relationships with Nipsey Hussle, YG, Mustard, and others — artists who have helped bridge the East and West Coast divide in hip-hop. His statements underscore a message of unity and peace, pushing back against the divisive nature of the viral claims.

The allegations have stirred debate online, but Meek’s firm denial puts a spotlight on the importance of addressing false narratives in the media — especially when they involve serious accusations that can impact reputations and safety.
