According to Fox 35 Orlando, three women lost their lives, and another woman sustained severe injuries after the SUV they were traveling in collided with a pole, rolled over multiple times, and ejected all four of them on Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Shortly after 3:15 a.m., a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading north on State Road 19 near Saint Florian Lane when the 30-year-old female driver from Mount Dora failed to navigate a curve, as reported by FHP. The Jeep departed from the roadway, hit a pole, and rolled over several times, throwing out the driver and her three passengers, aged 32, 28, and 26, all from Eustis. None of the women were buckled up.
The driver and a passenger were declared dead at the scene, while two other passengers were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where one later passed away. The 26-year-old woman from Eustis is in critical condition.
