Chicago artist Y.K. Supe hosted a listening party for his anticipated mixtape “The Mocean Man” at LSD Studios last Friday, April 18th.
Following the drop, Supe teased his fans and new ones by releasing a new freestyle every Monday for what he called “Mocean Mondays,” starting last November.
Having this listening event at LSD, Supe wanted things to be intimate so that we could get the feel of what he had just dropped.
The vibe was on point, and things were organized so that you got a drink ticket and a weed ticket just for downloading the mixtape and also subscribing to his YouTube channel, which is fair to say he got a good number of subscribers.
Before diving into “The Mocean Man,” Supe talked about his background as the CEO of Forever Way Records and noted his co-signs by some of the most prominent artists in the industry, including Young Dolph.
By breaking down the mixtape and making smooth transitions, Supe ensured that everyone left the listening party and was still trying to figure out which song was their favorite.
