DRIVER SHOT IN ROAD RAGE INCIDENT ON CHICAGO EXPRESSWAY

A man was injured in what witnesses say seemed to be a road rage incident earlier on I-57.

Police responded to a report of a gunshot victim around 2:30 p.m. at a Mobil gas station located on 147th Street in Posen. Upon arrival, they found an unidentified victim who had been shot in the arm, and the passenger side window of his car was shattered.

According to ABC News, the victim was on his way to pick up his children from school when an incident unfolded along the interstate and ended at the Mobile gas station.

The investigation was turned over to the Illinois State Police and it is ongoing.
