6 CHILDREN FOUND LOCKED IN MILWAUKEE STORAGE UNIT; 2 ADULTS ARRESTED

Six children, ranging in age from two months to nine years, were discovered locked inside a storage unit on Milwaukee’s north side early Tuesday morning. The incident resulted in the arrest of two adults.

According to Milwaukee police, officers responded to a storage facility near 27th Street and Silver Spring Drive around 1:36 a.m. on September 16 after receiving a report that children were being kept inside a unit.

Upon arrival, officers located the children — ages two months, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 9. A 26-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were taken into custody in connection with the case. Police confirmed that none of the children were injured.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office will review the case for potential charges.
