JOSH GIDDEY GETS INTO AN ARGUMENT WITH FAN THAT CALLED HIM A P*DO

Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey had more than hoops on his hands Friday night after getting into a heated back-and-forth with a courtside fan during the Bulls–Hornets matchup. ESPN cameras caught the moment Giddey walked directly over to the heckler—who instantly tried to flip the energy and reach out for a handshake.

According to Hoops Alerts, the fan allegedly called Giddey a “pedo,” referencing the 2023 allegations the NBA later closed after Newport Beach police declined to pursue charges. Giddey didn’t let the comment slide, pulled up to confront him, and exchanged a few words before security stepped in and escorted the fan out. Meanwhile, people nearby could be heard yelling that the fan “didn’t do anything.”

While the Bulls continue to fight through an up-and-down season (9–9 and sitting 10th in the East), Giddey is quietly putting up one of the best seasons of his career. Nearly averaging a triple-double, the Aussie guard has logged four triple-doubles, nine 20-point games, and is shooting a career-best 39.2% from three.

Through 16 games, he’s averaging 20.8 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 9.4 assists — all career highs.

Drama aside, Giddey is hooping. If the Bulls can find some consistency, this might become the breakout season Chicago’s been waiting for.
