A woman found shot to death inside a Chicago home has been identified as Da’J Flowers, 36, as police continue to investigate the fatal shooting on the city’s Far North Side, according to WGN News.
Officers responded Friday morning to a residence in the 6900 block of North Bell Avenue in the West Rogers Park (West Ridge) neighborhood following a welfare check request. Inside the home, police discovered Flowers suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information about a suspect or possible motive. Chicago Police Area Three detectives are leading the investigation.
Neighbors described the area as a typically quiet residential block, making the incident particularly unsettling for the community.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Chicago Police or submit an anonymous tip through Cook County Crime Stoppers, which is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
