GEORGIA TEACHER LINDA DAVIS KILLED IN CRASH INVOLVING DRIVER FLEEING ICE AGENTS

A well-liked K–8 teacher was killed Monday morning in a crash involving a driver fleeing federal immigration agents, authorities confirmed.

Linda Davis, 52, a special-education teacher at Herman W. Hesse K–8 School, was driving toward work around 7:45 a.m. when another vehicle failed to stop for law enforcement, ran a red light and struck her car, police said. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders say she was on her regular commute even though students were not in class for the holiday.

The driver, identified as a 38-year-old Oscar Vasquez, with a federal immigration removal order, was attempting to evade U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when the crash occurred. He survived with non-life-threatening injuries and has been arrested and charged with first-degree vehicular homicide and other traffic violations, according to Fox 5.
