A routine maintenance visit turned into a disturbing situation for a tenant in Bloomingdale after a worker was allegedly caught on camera urinating in the apartment’s kitchen sink, according to Fox Chicago.
The tenant, identified as Zander Manning, said he was shocked and disgusted after reviewing the footage from his home security system. What he expected to be a normal repair visit quickly turned into a situation he says left him feeling violated in his own home.
According to Manning, when he confronted the worker about what was seen on camera, the individual appeared to admit to the act. The alleged behavior has raised serious concerns about professionalism and trust when it comes to allowing maintenance personnel inside private residences.
Police later confirmed the incident and said the maintenance worker was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and fined.
Manning says the experience has been unsettling and hopes sharing his story will make others more cautious. The incident has also sparked outrage online, with many questioning how something like this could happen during a routine service call and calling for stronger accountability measures.
