For many Chicagoans, the Leak name has been tied to funeral services for generations. Leak Jr. spent nearly his entire life serving families through the family business, which traces its roots back to 1933 when his grandparents, A.R. and Dottie Leak, helped establish what would become one of Chicago’s most recognizable funeral homes.

According to Fox 32, Leak Jr. began working for the family business at just 12 years old, answering phones before later earning a degree in mortuary science and funeral service. He eventually joined the company full-time, working alongside his father, Spencer Leak Sr., and helping carry the business into its third generation.
