LIL DURK’S BOND REVIEW HEARING HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN SET FOR NOVEMBER 4TH

Lil Durk is expected to return to federal court on November 4 for a hearing that could determine whether he will be released from custody while awaiting his second trial.

U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald scheduled the bond review for 2:30 p.m. following a request from the Chicago rapper’s defense team. The judge also ordered the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services Office to attend the hearing and provide the court with an updated bail report.
The hearing comes after Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, was found not guilty of all five charges presented during his first federal trial. However, the verdict did not resolve additional charges that were separated and reserved for a second proceeding.
Durk still faces allegations that include murder in aid of racketeering and a related firearms charge. He has pleaded not guilty, and the remaining allegations have not been proven in court.
Although an earlier court order listed October 5 as the trial date for the outstanding charges, the latest scheduling update did not confirm whether that date remains in place. A new trial date has not been publicly announced.

The November hearing gives Durk another opportunity to request pretrial release after previous bond proposals were rejected. However, the scheduled review does not guarantee that the judge will approve his release.
