23 FOR TAMIR: HONORING HIS LEGACY THROUGH COMMUNITY AND CULTURE

In a world that often forgets, Samaria Rice never does. As the mother of Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old boy stolen from us too soon, she carries both heartbreak and hope into everything she does.

With what would have been Tamir’s 23rd birthday approaching, Samaria is turning pain into purpose—asking the community for $23 for 23 years without him. Why? Because she’s building something powerful in Cleveland: a safe space where inner-city youth can explore art, culture, and healing.

The vision is already in motion. Samaria’s invested in a historic building in Cleveland, and thanks to supporters—and now a generous $50,000 donation from Kyrie Irving—this dream is closer than ever.

This is about more than bricks and paint. It’s about investing in our children. Teaching them. Protecting them. Giving them room to express, create, and simply be.

To everyone who has stood by the Tamir Rice Foundation: thank you. The work continues. The vision is alive. And Tamir’s name is not forgotten.
