In yet another reminder that wildlife is not your Instagram backdrop, a tourist was reportedly trampled by a wild elephant after attempting to take a selfie at dangerously close range. Witnesses say the individual ignored clear warnings and approached the elephant for the perfect shot — only to be swiftly knocked down and partially stripped of their clothing during the chaotic encounter.
The tourist suffered minor injuries and a major blow to their ego, while the elephant walked away unharmed — and probably unimpressed.
Let this serve as a PSA: wild animals deserve space, respect, and zero selfie sticks.
