Police report that Evans told investigators he had wanted to abort the child but, after it was born, believed that a “Demon” was influencing him to kill the infant. The incident has shocked the local community and prompted further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death.

The man remains in custody as prosecutors prepare charges. No further details on the case have been released.
