Mike D and his crew Creation Chicago, a major contributor to Chicago culture, were invited to do a live broadcast with Hulu x Lollapalooza to showcase their footwork talents during the Hulu x Lollapalooza festival last weekend in Chicago. They joined forces with the prominent crew Prophecy, highlighting the Chicago Footwork Culture and showcasing two businesses, Bella’s Italian Ice and Helado De Coco, from the West Side of the city.
Mike D was thrilled to see two groups from different sides of the city coming together for a common project, which is a rare occurrence. This is crucial for the culture of Chicago and offers valuable opportunities to the youth. Being featured on the broadcasted Jumbotron during Lolapalooza weekend and on Hulu Live provides an incredible platform for the youth who otherwise wouldn’t have had access to such opportunities.
Mike D also stated, “People who are a part of the culture & haven’t taken it seriously or looked at it as a career, you have to be in a different headspace to take this seriously and look at it as a career for you to take to the next level. Mike D. hopes this will encourage people to get on top of being professional in this field, want to do more, and combine teams to come together for the culture. “Just be on top of your game to reach those top tiers.”
As a member of Chicago’s culture, it always warms my heart to witness the positive impact on the youth in such a challenging city. Thank you, Mike D & Creation Chicago, for your dedication and hard work.! This is a significant milestone for the Chicago community!
