Michigan judge is once again going viral after he sentenced a man to 558 days in jail for cursing at him during a court hearing.
A man finds himself in jail for a few months after an outburst in court where he yelled at a Washtenaw County judge Cedric Simpson and told him to kiss his a**.
Simpson was adjourning a court recently against Darrell Jarrell. It was a simple case of misdemeanor trespassing but, just as Simpson was ready to move on,
Jarrell doesn’t have a way to be contacted is and is only able to be contacted by P.O. box. Simpson offered to move back his court date to give him more time to talk to his public defender, but Jarrell ended upset since it will be prolonging his case.
Simpson said Jarrell was in contempt of court and sentenced him to 93 days in jail as he kept swearing in court which resulted in 558 days in jail.
This isn’t the first time something crazy has happened in Simpson’s court. In May, Simpson was hearing a case of a man who was charged with driving with a suspended license – who appeared via Zoom while driving.
