JUDGE GRANTS MEGAN THEE STALLION RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST TORY LANEZ

According to The Source, Megan Thee Stallion has received a five-year restraining order against Tory Lanez, citing persistent harassment while he serves a 10-year prison term for shooting her in July 2020. The restraining order from the Los Angeles court, which is effective until January 9, 2030, prohibits Lanez from threatening or harassing Megan and requires him to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from her.

During the hearing, Megan shared how Lanez’s alleged harassment has emotionally affected her, including accusations that he financed a campaign to damage her reputation. She revealed that Lanez’s father made payments to a blogger to disseminate false information, highlighting the significant toll the harassment has taken on her mental well-being.

Judge Richard Bloom approved the order, taking into account Lanez’s history of violence. Lanez’s attorney criticized the decision as an infringement on free speech; however, the court determined that the restraining order was necessary.
