A white Colorado landlord claimed that she was assaulted by her Black tenant, but what the landlord didn’t know is that the interaction was all caught on camera.
The video, which was recorded by the tenant’s son, shows what appears to be a dramatic confrontation between their landlord, Lisa Anderson, and is mother at their place in Aurora. The footage captured a woman collapsing and shouting claims of being attacked while the tenant, Vontese Wines, stood nearby.
Before getting to the point where the landlord lad to fake being attacked, the tenant’s ring camera showed Anderson barging into Wines’ home with a locksmith to change the locks, claiming Wines hadn’t paid rent on time. As the video continues, you can see the landlord fall to the floor out of nowhere, screaming that she had been hurt and was still getting hurt.
According to CBS News, Wines had been renting a townhome on South Hannibal Street in Aurora since November 2024. Her lease, signed with Anderson, required rent to be paid by noon on the first of every month, with a $110 late fee for any delayed payments.
As a result of the incident, Wines decided to move her family to a new home, she told CBS. She also said she discovered that she’s not the only tenant who had been on the receiving end of Anderson’s “Karen” rampage. It’s unclear if Wines desires to take legal action against Anderson.
