A teen girl who was dancing on top of an SUV while on a night out with her friends, turned deadly after she fell off and was hit by a fire truck that just so happened to be responding to an emergency.
Nyla Simmons, 18, was coming home from a friend’s prom send-off party Saturday night when she started to dance on the roof of a Cadillac Escalade as it drove through the streets of St. Louis.
According to KMOV, the Escalade had stopped at a red light and turned, causing her to fall. Moments after, she was run over and killed by a fire truck responding to a call.
Her parents say they don’t blame her friends, who she was in the car with, they were just teens being teens.
“We’ve all been young before, we all have done some type of thing where it could have ended up bad for us,” said Simmons.
Police are investigating.
